Risk Management

The constraints that keep a strategy survivable: position limits, diversification, and downside control.

Risk management is the strategy module’s safety layer: how much capital per position, how diversified the portfolio must be, what happens on consecutive losses, and which market-neutral structures (long-short pairs) reduce exposure to market-wide moves. The course treats these as design inputs to the simulation, not afterthoughts.

Module 1 plants the seed — the personal-investment landscape and the risk/reward framing — and module 4 operationalizes it: strategies are simulated with their risk rules attached, because a strategy’s backtested return only means something relative to the risk taken to get it.
